I started this Blog as a hobby to engage my spare time and focus on powersports and outdoor gear, which I have a long standing passion for. Over the years I have owned many types of powersport toys and have firsthand experience with boats, motorcycles, ATVs, and UTVs. Powersport ownership comes with regular maintenance task be it in the form of oil changes, filters, tune ups, etc. as they rely on combustion engines. While I do love the rowdy sound of a 2 stroke dirt bike as I get older I appreciate silence more and more especially when I pursue the outdoors either hunting, fishing or just trail riding.
With the quickly evolving electrification movement my interest has evolved and I’m genuinely intrigued by the innovation in electric powersports. There is so much to admire about these new products and so much to uncover at the same time as we forge into this new reality. The thought of eliminating many of the maintenance task that come with ownership of petrol powersport toys and operating in near silence is pure bliss to me.
Having said this I began looking more at the electric powersports coming to market and that motivated me to investigate this new market via a Blog. I’m hoping to create a community of people equally interested in electric powersports and enjoy uncovering and reading about all the new motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, watercraft and outdoor gear.
This Blog is a work in progress as there is a great deal of innovation coming to market in the electric powersports market, it’s like drinking from a fire hydrant. There is so much to reveal and write about with so little time in the day making it challenging to keep up. So it goes without saying, I have a lot more work to be done for this Blog to be up and running with fresh content, so please be patient and check back often to find new articles.
In the meantime, I would ask that you join the Charged Outdoor Forum and help us build a community of electric powersport enthusiasts (no cost….just register). The forum is meant for people who are equally intrigued by these innovative products and want to engage in discussions related to them. Perhaps you are considering buying a particular machine and want firsthand knowledge about performance or you want to sell an electric machine to a member, the forum is here to facilitate all of this and more.
